I redesigned the CultureHouse headquarter’s storefront. I worked on making the mission and theory of change more clear by making the language more accessible, and showing examples of past work. I focused on creating a vibrant, playful, and inviting storefront, switching out the minimalist black and white brand to a colorful and illustrative style.
I stayed within the budget of 300$ and utilized the tools and materials available to me at the headquarters. I also worked on updating the style guide and branding documents.
Past Storefront
The original design of the storefront looked like this, which emphasized the minimalist, black, white and wood motifs in their work.
They emphasized three pillars of their work, however, it was confusing to anyone who wasn’t familiar with CultureHouse. The objects on the shelves were seemingly random, and the descriptions were hard to understand.
The team felt that the black and white aesthetic was not serving their needs anymore, and wanted to utilize their vibrant brand colors to emphasize their playful and joyful nature.
