Our team decided to create a micro-museum as a visual communication medium for our metals and mining final deliverable.

Communicating Content

For our "Metals and Mining" final project, we decided to explore if there is a change in the sound of steel as it undergoes different heat treatments. In order to communicate our findings, we decided to create a Micro-museum. Each side represents a different subsection of information that flow into each other: This not only helps us convey the appropriate information but also helps communicate them in a cohesive manner.

Engaging + Architectural 3D forms

In order to fulfil our goal to design an interesting and engaging 3D form to display and present information, I created a 3D model in SolidWorks.

Graphic Design Layouts for a 3D structure

The flow of information was optimized by visualizing it in Blender.  Then I created cohesive visual designs for the compiled information in Figma.

Construction

I constructed the form using the techniques we learned in our architecture class. I used foam core, poster printed paper, and spray adhesive.
